Sanctity of Human Life Sunday
Since 1983, Americans have observed Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (SOHLS) as a day to celebrate the intrinsic value of all human life. This important day also provides an opportunity for Care Net to share about the work we do to bring life-affirming resources to your congregation’s community and to empower women and men to choose life for their unborn children.
Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is traditionally celebrated on the Sunday in January that falls closest to the day on which the Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions were handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court on January 22, 1973. At Care Net we celebrate Life every day but especially the entire month of January.
We would love to include your congregation in our month long celebration; we have several opportunities for this:
Participating in SOHLS in this way highlights the positive work of Care Net Pregnancy Center does to bring help, hope and healing and offers faith communities the encouraging message of lives being changed and babies being born because of the love and truth of Christ offered them at Care Net.
We look forward to Celebrating Life with you in 2012!
For more information about involving your church in SOHLS 2012 or highlighting Care Net at another time please contact Robin at 259-1606 ext.218 or robins@carenetdane.org.
