Purity Rings

Care Net gave away 500 purity rings to teens and pre-teens at the recent Barlow Girl/Superchick concert in Madison.  Care Net was at the concert to be a local representative, encouraging teens that they are "worth waiting for."

Service

Care Net has seen many volunteer groups in and out of its doors. The building and grounds look great! The pantry shelves at The Elizabeth House are filled to overflowing, gift bags are ready for our clients and residents of The Elizabeth House enjoyed a special time interacting with church members who prepared an evening meal for them.

These groups have recently helped to further Care Net’s mission
through their volunteer work:

  • Abundant Life Christian School
  • Blackhawk Church Madison Mission teens
  • Blackhawk Church Women’s Group
  • Blackhawk Church "Love Madison"
  • Campus Crusade for Christ Agape
  • Community of Life Church, Oregon
  • DeForest Evangelical Free Church
  • Door Creek Church Serve 2010
  • Madison Master’s Commission
  • New Hope Evangelical Free Church, Mount Horeb
  • UW Extension (presented a class on financial management)

Care Net’s Facilities Manager John Howe said, “These groups did in a few hours what would take us months to do. I just can’t thank them enough.”

Care Net has recently presented at or been a part of these
events/groups:

  • Indian Mounds Middle School
  • Kromrey Middle School

Blackhawk Church “Love Madison”

Over 40 volunteers from Blackhawk Church served at Care Net as part of their annual “Love Madison” outreach. This group of wholehearted and energetic volunteers gave Care Net’s building and grounds a spring makeover, as well as finished stuffing our many Baby Bottles for our yearly campaign. We were so thankful to have such a big group tackle our big projects. Thank you Blackhawk Church!

Countless baby bottles were prepared in just
one afternoon thanks to these volunteers.

Thank you Blackhawk!

Campus Crusade for Christ Agape

Twenty women from Campus Crusade for Christ Agape had their spring work day at Care Net. They did everything from stuffing Baby Bottles for our summer campaign to cleaning our facility. This group of women was so enthusiastic about helping us! They were relieved to know a place like Care Net existed in the Madison area.

Stuffing baby bottles can be fun when
surrounded by a group of friends.

Thanks Campus Crusade Agape for all your hard work!

Door Creek Church Serve 2010

On May 22nd, a group from Door Creek Church came to Care Net for their "Serve 2010". For four hours, this group assisted in painting, cleaning, assembling gift bags & helping us prepare for our fall banquet. They accomplished so much in such a short amount of time! Thank you, Door Creek, for your hearts of service.

The Elizabeth House was thoroughly cleaned
thanks to a group of 12 individuals.

Blackhawk Church's Madison Mission

Over twenty 7th and 8th graders from Blackhawk Church came to Care Net to help with various projects. They conducted a food drive for The Elizabeth House, sorted donations and folded baby clothes in our Care Market. And they did this all with great enthusiasm and joy! We loved having these wonderful helpers in our midst. Thank you Blackhawk!
