Krystal Williams-Oby, J.D. - Biography

Krystal Williams-Oby is a recognized attorney, lecturer, and frequent conference speaker.

With over 18-years of legal experience, Krystal has served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Wisconsin Department of Justice; a former Partner at the law firm of Reynolds, Herrick & Kasdorf (now Herrick & Kasdorf, LLP); a Staff Attorney for Legal Action of Wisconsin; and a child advocate for the Dane County Guardian ad Litem Project.

She is the founder of Kingdom Legal Services, Inc, a nonprofit faith-based law firm located in Madison, Wisconsin. Krystal also serves as Associate Pastor of Northside Christian Assembly Church where she oversees Discipleship Training, Children’s & Youth Ministry, and Church Administration. Teaching and preaching the Word of God with passion and enthusiasm, Krystal encourages Believers from all walks of life to Passionately Pursue God’s Purpose for their lives.

Offering a unique blend of ministry experience and legal expertise, Krystal’s current law practice focuses on Church Law & Tax Exemption, Nonprofit Corporations, Real Estate Transactions and Constitutional Law & Defense of Religious Liberties.

Krystal received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin Law School and undergraduate degree from Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is the recipient of the African-American & Black Business Association’s Attorney of the Year Award (2007), and the Alliance Defense Fund’s National Litigation Academy Honor Corps Pro-Bono Service Award (2006). Krystal currently serves as member of the Board of Directors for Care Net Pregnancy Center as well as the Dane County Drug Treatment Advisory Board. She is a member of the Christian Legal Society, the State Bar of Wisconsin, and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Wisconsin.

Krystal and her husband, Rev. Joe T. Oby, have been married for 19 years and have three sons Isaiah, Immanuel & Israel.

Krystal is pleased to be serving on Care Net’s Board of Directors to assist in making Care Net known in a greater way in the Madison community.
