Ann Flynn Biography
After completing her MS, Ann taught in various universities, with the idea that she would complete her Ph.D. and continue as an academic. She instead entered law school with the idea that those legal and administrative skills would lead to a career as an executive director for a nonprofit. She was invited to work with a team to revise Wisconsin’s probate code, which led to Ann establishing an estate planning practice immediately following law school. While practicing law in 1995, Care Net invited Ann to join their Board of Directors. As she saw what Care Net could do with more resources Ann wanted to help, and continues to serve on the Board. When Ann and her husband, Nelson, moved to downtown Madison she was hired by the University of Wisconsin Foundation as a Director of Development; in 2008 Ann became the executive director for a family foundation. |
