People Behind The Elizabeth House

House Parents, Tim and Tracy Markle

Tim Markle FamilyWelcome to The Elizabeth House. The Markle family consists of myself, Tim, my wife, Tracy, and our two children, Hunter (8) and Samara (6). Tracy is a licensed teacher (Pre-K through 6th grade), and is working part-time at The Elizabeth House. My background includes a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Counseling.

In November 2004, we began volunteering at The Elizabeth House. We loved it! When the opportunity came up to apply as Houseparents, we began praying in earnest. Would God really call us to resign our jobs, sell our house, move (not once but twice), and live in community? Yup. That's what He did.

I am grateful to God for the magnificent life, family and chances He has given me. He has entrusted my family to me to lead and to guide. My desire is to serve Him and to walk along side these precious moms as they are transformed into the wonderful people God has always intended them to be; guiding, encouraging, nudging, teaching, laughing, crying, arguing, eating, praying, living together. God is a God of relationships and community and I can think of no better way to experience Him then in the relationships with my wife, children and our new extended family in the community of The Elizabeth House.
